I arranged this piece for
an Adult Session of Stake Conference. I needed a musical
number and this piece kept coming into my head. However, the
original music only has one verse and is very simple and I needed
something longer for a musical number. I looked online and
couldn't find any free arrangements of this piece, so I made my own.
I sat down at the piano at church and the piano part came easily to
me. It's a simple but nice arrangement of a well known hymn.
The theme for our conference was "family" so I tried to write the
2nd verse keeping that in mind. Being a violinist, I also had
to include the violin part from The Children's Songbook. The
whole arrangement turned out well. |
